PROGRAMS Project: VISION is currently offering the following programs: College Essay Writing Workshop
Essays are often the toughest part of the college application! We can help you!
Who: High school students
What: Students will be guided through the process of planning, writing, and editing a personal statement by tutors. Also, students will learn about what college admissions committees are looking for in the essay and study examples of essays. By the end of this workshop, each student will have written a strong personal statement that can be used for college applications.
Where: The PV Youth Center
When: Monday July 9th- Friday July 13th, 1-3PM

Summer Book Club
Keep your reading skills up during the summer!
Who: 6th-9th graders
What: Students will be challenged to improve their reading skills by completing the novel, Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Marquez. Students will strengthen reading comprehension and vocabulary, develop literary analysis skills, and learn various literary devices through discussions and a group project.
Where: The PV Youth Center
When: Monday July 30th- Friday August 3rd, 1-3PM
Fees: $5 for purchase of the book (students will be able to keep his/her copy).

Homework Tutoring During the school year (Begins again September
4, 2012) This fall, we are offering homework help; each day tutors are available to answer questions and help with homework problems. We will also offer one-on-one tutoring in a variety of subjects. Please click here to sign up for the program. However, you must complete registration by stopping by the Center in person.
