EVA LIU
Board of Directors Chair
We’re excited to announce that Eva Liu has been named Project: VISION’s Board of Directors Chair, effective August 2025. Eva‘s service to Project: VISION as a Board member over the past year has been invaluable, and we are extremely fortunate to have her now step into the role of Chair. Please join us in welcoming Eva to her new role!
Eva brings both her personal and professional experiences to the role of Board Chair as she helps advance Project: VISION’s mission of empowering youth in Chicago’s Greater Chinatown community to reach their full potential. Born and raised in Chicago’s Chinatown and a first-generation college graduate, she knows firsthand the importance of the opportunities and support the organization provides.
She is deeply committed to ensuring that Project: VISION continues to thrive at this exciting inflection point in its journey. Eva looks forward to building on the organization’s tremendous growth and strengthening the infrastructure needed to deliver on its strategic plan and next phase of impact together with the Board and team.
Professionally, Eva’s career spans finance, management consulting, philanthropy, and social entrepreneurship. She served as the founding Chief Strategy & Operations Officer at Chicago Beyond, where she helped deploy more than $50 million into community-led initiatives and reimagine how philanthropy supports equity and justice. Earlier in her career, she supported nonprofit healthcare systems on capital access as an investment banker at Barclays and led strategic, operational, and digital engagements across sectors, including financial services, healthcare, and education, as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Today, Eva is building Origami Wealth, a social enterprise dedicated to helping nonprofit professionals achieve financial freedom by making wealth-building accessible, actionable, and values-aligned. She also partners with mission-driven leaders to navigate complex challenges and maximize their impact through her consultancy, Origami Impact.
Eva graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with an A.B. in Government and a minor in Economics, and earned her MBA with honors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
