Rachna Purohit

Rachna serves as Treasurer on the Project: VISION Board of Directors. She currently works in Accounting of Financial Services company Stripe. Prior to this role, she has had 10+ years of experience working in Finance and Accounting at various international organizations, including Deloitte, TD Securities, and T-Mobile. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Schulich School of Business, along with CFA and CPA certifications. Rachna joined PV nearly two years ago and chairs the Finance Committee by providing her Finance and Accounting expertise to support PV’s financial management.

Michael Gordon

Michael serves as Secretary on the Project: VISION Board of Directors. He is a Capital Markets and Policy Specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and has worked in the banking sector for 20+ years prior to his current role. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance/Economics from the University for Notre Dame. Michael joined PV’s Board of Directors two years ago and has been able to share first-hand experience on (post)-secondary education as the father of college-aged children. He will offer some insights into his own process of preparing for and funding his children’s college tuitions.

Carl Carbonell

Carl serves as a Co-Chair on the Project: VISION Associate Board. He is also a Marketing and Tech consultant at Google here in Chicago working with big name retailers for the last 8 years. Prior to working at Google, he attended the University of Illinois at Chicago for his first two years of undergrad before finishing up his bachelor’s degree in Advertising at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As a 2012 graduate, Carl will offer his experience preparing for and funding his post-secondary education and as a proud uncle, he will share how he has started funding for his nephew’s post-secondary education. 

Damian Hurtado

Damian serves as a Member on the Project: VISION Associate Board. He is currently a Senior Finance Manager at RXBAR here in Chicago and holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at El Paso. Damian will offer his experience navigating through college applications and financial aid as a first-generation high school and college graduate. Damian also has extensive knowledge of the current college landscape from his involvement with iMentor, an organization supporting first-generation college students from low-income families.
